Ragnarok Online Job Change Wizard Quest

Located in the in the Geffen Tower. You must be at least job level 40 in order to change into a Wizard.



Go to the top most floor of the Geffen tower. Talk to Cartrin Medichi (gef_tower 111, 37) to sign up for the wizard job change quest. If your job level is 50, you can go to the next step, if not, she’ll ask you to collect some items for her first. The two item sets are:





Set 1:

• Blue Gemstone x 10
• Red Gemstone x 10
• Yellow Gemstone x 10

Set 2:

• Red Blood x 5
• Wind of Verdure x 5
• Crystal Blue x 5
• Green Live x 5

Talk to the Dismal Wizard named Raul Expagarus (gef_tower 102, 24). You need to get at least 9 out of 10 questions to pass this test. There are three possible set of questions:





Set 1:

The last part of the job quest is to test your ability in three different rooms filled with monsters.Talk to Raul again if you are ready to do this part. The equipments that you must or hopefully have are Clip Under a Cast (Phen Card) and Hard Armor (Pupa Card) to increase your max HP. If you don’t have these, you could do the hit then run, hit then run tactic. Also, if you have some spare zeny, buy yourself int and dex stat foods. You need to kill all the monsters first within 3 minutes before proceeding to the next room.


The first room is the Water Room so use wind spells, such as the lightning bolt. Bring a lot of hp/sp restorative items like the Royal Jelly and Mastela. Also, bring a Green Potion because you’ll be battling with Obeaune. My suggestion is to kill the Obeaune first because they are really pretty annoying. The monsters are:

The next room in the Wizard Job Change Quest is the Earth Room so use fire spells, such as the fire bolt. You don’t need to maximize the level of your fire bolt skill in killing the monsters. Estimate if the fire bolt level is enough to kill the monster.

The third room is the fire room so use ice spells, such as the cold bolt. Activate your sight skill because some of the monsters are hiding.

Everytime you fail the wizard job change ability test, he’ll ask you some questions first before he let you go inside the room again.

3. Which of these monsters does not recognize casting? Marina
4. Chose the spell that would be efficient against a Marine Sphere. Lightning Bolt
5. Choose the monster that can move. Frilldora

If you fail more than four times, Raul will ask for a Worn Out Scroll to pass you. This only works in some versions of RO.

After you passed the test, go back to Catherine and she’ll change you into a wizard. This ends your Wizard Job Change Quest. Congratulations
